Standardized assessment is critical for understanding the needs of young people and ensuring appropriate support and interventions are put in place to help them reach their potential. Assessments are conducted by specifically training and qualified professionals; however understanding the assessments is the domain of all those working with school age children. This presentation will educate you regarding the importance and nature of standardized assessments, including in relation to specific difficulties and disorders. It will also aim to give you the skills to understand and utilize the findings of assessments, enabling you to incorporate these into your everyday practice.
